RK2020 Vented Back Shell
cults3d
The concept for this design came from the RK2020 community. There were requests for a ventilated rear shell design to lower the temperature of the components and protect the battery from overheating. This design is 4mm deeper than the stock rear shell, allowing more clearance between the battery and the processor. There are ventilation holes designed to allow natural convection to cool the case. The holes are placed in an area where your grip on the device will not be compromised. There are 4 files, 2 for FDM/FFF (Plastic filament printers) and 2 for SLA printers. The only difference is in the screw holes. The FDM/FFF version has 1 layer covering the screw holes. The screws can be pushed through this layer. It is a trick to produce a bridge for the screw holes. The SLA version does not have this feature as it is not required for perfect holes
