RK17 F0001 Concretion - Stage 3
sketchfab
RK17 F0001 is a massive concretion uncovered from the Dutch East Indiaman Rooswijk after one week of deconcretion by the expert archaeology and conservation team. To date, numerous cannon balls, bar shot, wrought iron bars, and wooden planks have been carefully revealed. In 2016, a collaborative survey conducted by Dutch and British archaeologists on the site of the Rooswijk identified significant risks to its preservation. In response, Historic England and the Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency joined forces to launch an archaeological excavation in the summer of 2017.
