RK17 A00170 is a complete clay pipe discovered in 2017 during the archaeological excavation of the Rooswijk. In 2016, Dutch and British archaeologists conducted a site survey at the location of the Dutch East Indiaman Rooswijk, revealing it to be on the verge of severe damage. To mitigate this risk, a joint team from Historic England and the Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency (RCE) collaborated on an archaeological excavation in the summer of 2017.
