RK17 A00032 is a vital copper tube uncovered during the meticulous archaeological excavation of the Rooswijk in 2017. In 2016, Dutch and British archaeologists conducted an exhaustive survey on the site of the ill-fated Dutch East Indiaman Rooswijk, revealing it was perilously close to destruction. To prevent this calamity, a coalition has formed between Historic England and the Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency (RCE) to undertake an urgent archaeological excavation in summer 2017.
