RK17 A00031 is a significant copper tube unearthed during the archaeological excavation of the Rooswijk in 2017. In 2016, Dutch and British archaeologists conducted a thorough survey on the site of the Dutch East Indiaman Rooswijk which revealed it was at high risk of being destroyed. To address this urgent concern, a team has joined forces from Historic England and the Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency (RCE) to undertake an archaeological excavation in summer 2017.
