RK17 A00031 Copper Tube
sketchfab
RK17 A00031 is a section of copper tube unearthed during the archaeological excavation of the Rooswijk in 2017. In 2017 and 2018, an international team of maritime archaeologists excavated the shipwreck of the Rooswijk, a 300-year-old Dutch East India Company (VOC) vessel that sank on January 1740's treacherous Goodwin Sands off England's coast. Following each excavation campaign, post-excavation work began promptly, focusing on ex-situ research, artefact conservation and analysis, tasks which will continue until project completion. The #Rooswijk1740 project is funded and led by the Netherlands' Cultural Heritage Agency (Ministry of Education, Science and Culture), collaborating with Historic England and MSDS Marine, a UK-based contractor.
