RK17 A00029 is a crucial piece of evidence found during the meticulous excavation of the Rooswijk site in 2017. In 2016, a collaborative effort between Dutch and British archaeologists revealed that the Rooswijk was on the verge of catastrophic damage. To prevent this from happening, a coalition of experts from Historic England and the Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency (RCE) joined forces to undertake an extensive archaeological excavation in the summer of 2017.
