RJ45 cable protector / sleeve
thingiverse
I did a search here and couldn't find an RJ45 cable protector model on Thingiverse! So I grabbed a step file from GrabCAD's connector section, imported it into my CAD software (SW) and remodeled the back part with a snapfit function and an open top to make sure you have easy access to the arm. Next, I printed out the design using 80 or 100% fill density, placed it on the cable, crimped my RJ45 connector, and clicked it in place. Optionally, I applied some silicone glue to secure the cable within its position inside the protector. Feel free to contribute your ideas, suggestions, or feedback. Update: V2 features a larger latch arm opening to resolve an issue that occurred when the latch got stuck in some cases after being pressed all the way down on December 29, 2015.
