**Update 2022-12-18:** For left and right oriented 12mm labels there are now two options: flush against the chassis (straight) and angled (~53°). _Special edition:_ 12x35mm for the straight options (because of my own need). Beefier version for the "flags" with 0.2mm more space for improved "push the label trough". ________________ ###How to use This is designed for labels of 9mm or 12mm width printed from label printers like Brother P-Touch. It comes for four defined legths (20mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm). The STLs are named like: RJ45\_Marker\_**width**x**length**\_**label-orientation** _The pictures show all original variations for 12x30mm tape before the update. Labels were not applied with love and been more like 12x32mm :o Compare the white cap with the blue and green caps to see the better fit if there are outstanding LEDs._ ###What did I change in this remix? - added possibility for attaching labels (in different orientations and lengths) - cutout on top for LEDs (requires a bit less filament, too) - original cap with tab (but with the additional cutout) included ###Benefits - By using label printers you can add any text, symbols or symbols in whatever colour you need or like. - Need to write something else on it? Remove old label, print new one, done. Even those without a 3D printer are able to change the text. - Usually these label printers have a preview function that shows the total length of the label (including borders and unnecessary tape to boost the profit of the company:( ). - Hopefully I covered all scenarios that might come in handy: -- label to the left -- label to the right -- label to the front (text showing up or to the side) -- label as "flag" (text showing to the left, front and/or right) for high density environments ###Trivia Of course you can put a shorter label on a bigger label holder ;) I uploaded the SketchUp file for you.
