Rival Crock Pot Knob replacement
thingiverse
We just broke the old Crock Pot knob, and since it was time for an upgrade, we decided to design a new one from scratch. This custom model may fit other Crock Pot models as well. It is designed specifically for use on a 1/4" (6.35") D-shaped shaft - if you're unsure about what this refers to, be sure to check out the STL file. If you plan to print using Slic3r, turn support options on, but don't forget to select "Don't Support Bridges." This ensures that the recessed back will come out perfectly, and you won't have any unwanted support material filling up the D-shaped hole. The model is very close to the original design so the new knob won't protrude more than the old one did. If this seems like a hassle, we could create an alternate version that doesn't require supports - but keep in mind it might stick out just a bit further than the original knob. In our experience, this replacement goes on pretty snugly, but if you need to make sure it stays secure, try loosening it by 1/64" of clearance first. If it still feels too loose, simply add a small dab of glue to keep it in place.
