These components will merge with the fuselage and wings through an O-ring connection, eliminating the need for hook and loop tape. To secure them properly, O-rings must be precisely 1/8 of an inch thick. The ideal outer diameter depends on the desired level of tightness: a 1 7/8-inch diameter strikes a comfortable balance, while a 1 3/4-inch diameter provides even more snugness and a 2-inch diameter allows for a slightly looser fit.
