RiteSpec Wing Extensions
thingiverse
These are 1/4 wing extensions for the RiteWing Spec Wing v2. Members of The RiteWing Nation Facebook Group requested these wing extensions, which should provide the sweep specified by the FPVWRA once installed. Note that these ARE NOT WINGLETS; they're airfoil extensions. To achieve optimal results, print at 15% infill and use a combination of 2 or 3 top layers, 2 or 3 bottom layers, and 1 outer perimeter. My test prints weighed around 6g each, adding up to 12g in total weight without considering the glue's contribution. To secure them to the bed, print on blue tape for better adhesion and a rough surface to apply glue. Goop or foam-safe CA will work fine. I've only tested fitment so far, as shown in the photos. You can use PLA, PETG, or ABS, experimenting with print settings to achieve the lightest possible extensions. For FPVWRA rules and guidelines, consult their page directly; I won't be answering those questions here. Feedback on the design is always welcome.
