Ritchey Chretien RC6 ZWO EAF Adapter Bracket
thingiverse
This adapter mounts a ZWO EAF onto the focuser of an RC6 made by GSO and is available under many different labels. It is designed to fit a focuser that is 82mm in diameter (may work on an RC8 as well). You will need to remove the large focuser knob from the focuser (side opposite the dual speed knob). On my particular scope (Orion RC6), I found the shaft of the focuser slightly more than 4mm, so the 5mm/4mm adapter supplied with the EAF did not fit exactly. The EAF adapter was re-drilled with a 4.2mm drill. Your mileage may vary. Extras you will need: 2x M5 nut 2x M5 cap screw (25mm or 30mm in length) To install: This adapter mounts a ZWO EAF onto the focuser of an 6" f/4 Newtonian imaging reflector made by GSO and is available under many different labels. It is designed to fit a focuser that is 82mm in diameter. This will likely work on the 8" version of the the scope. You will need to remove the large focuser knob from the focuser (side opposite the dual speed knob). Extras you will need: 2x M5 nut 2x M5 cap screw (25mm or 30mm in length) To install: - Insert M5 nuts into the left bracket. Insert one of the M5 cap screws into the clamping hole, capture the nut on the screw, and pull the nut into place. Remove the cap screw. - Attached the bracket to the EAF and secure it with grub screws - Slide the flex coupler onto the shaft of EAF as far as the grub screw will allow (this should leave a gap between the EAF and the adapter) and tighten the grub screws. - Attached the EAF to the left bracket with two M4 cap screws and washers supplied with the EAF. Aligning the EAF with the center of the holes should be close to having it line up with the focuser shaft. - Align the left bracket with the shaft of the focuser, and secure it in place with the right bracket and two cap screws. - Tighten the grub screws securing the EAF flex coupler to the focuser shaft.
