I needed to position my Akitio Node on its front side due to cable length requirements. The Thunderbolt 3 cable is only 0.5 meters long, allowing for faster speed transfer, but this placement eliminated the usefulness of the Node fan, which was now pressed against the floor. Thankfully, this riser features ventilation holes that should provide better air circulation.
