Here is my DIY ripple tank. You need only a few things, but the total cost will be less than £15 - an ideal alternative for schools that cannot afford to purchase expensive ripple tanks. Materials: - A4 clear perspex - DC motor - Tool clip - 2 x Extension springs - 2 x 4mm banana sockets - 4 x hooks - 2 x M5 round headed bolts In addition, you can buy a cheap LED stroboscope (approximately £8 at Maplin Electronics).
