Ripper's London - The Cat and Dog Meat Seller
thingiverse
This one is a tribute to one of my wife's ancestors - a cat meat vendor in the East End of London according to the Census. And before we get started, and the animal rights activists jump all over me - cat and dog meat vendors sold meat for people's cats and dogs, not meat made out of cats and dogs! Usually horse meat, brawn, or offal - that sort of delicious stuff. I created this and a range of 28mm buildings to go along with the "In Her Majesty's Name" set of wargaming rules by Craig Cartmell and Charles Murton, published by Osprey Wargames. I also made them because I've been watching "Ripper Street" on that new-fangled television gadget. These models should fit any variety of Victorian building use that needs a taste of the old East End, and many of the buildings will still be thriving in 'Station Roads' all over the country - perfect for train scenery building. Note: This series of models does not promote murder, violence, or other mayhem, and sightings of the Ripper should be reported to the Metropolitan Constabulary at Great Scotland Yard via telephone on Whitehall 1212.
