Ripper's London - The Cat and Dog Meat Seller

This one is a tribute to my wife's ancestor - a feline flesh merchant in London's East End according to the Census records. Before we begin, let me clarify that cat and dog meat vendors sold meat FOR people's pets, not meat made FROM them! Typically, they sold horse meat, offal, or other tasty fare. I designed these 28mm buildings to complement the "In Her Majesty's Name" wargaming rules created by Craig Cartmell and Charles Murton, published by Osprey Wargames. The inspiration also comes from watching "Ripper Street" on our modern television sets. These structures should fit any Victorian-era building scenario that requires a taste of London's old East End, and many will remain relevant for train scenery building in 'Station Roads' across the country. Note: This series of models does not promote violence or mayhem, and sightings of the Ripper should be reported to the Metropolitan Police at Great Scotland Yard via their telephonic device on Whitehall 1212.
