The Riot Mako equivalent section requires more elasticity and reinforcement around the counter-bores for added stability. Printing these components at a 4mm sidewall thickness achieves near-perfect filling, while leaving sufficient inner matrix to provide flexible support and give. This design still encases the nut like the original and allows the larger screw to thread through during initial installation, effectively tapping the central hole in the process.
