This week's 3D Prophecy item is a sleek ring that posed a challenge during scanning due to its shiny metal surface. Despite these issues, our team managed to capture a decent scan and create a flat 2D model of the ring. With modern digital fabrication technology, jewelry making has become a perfect application for innovative manufacturing techniques. We chose to print our ring on a Form 2 3D printer that utilizes castable resin, then casted it traditionally from there. This season's focus is on refining finishing techniques, so we enlisted @dominateallaspectsjewelry to shape the ring from a flat piece of metal into a stunning wearable art piece.
