This week's 3D prophecy item is a stunning ring, scanned with precision during our rigorous 3D scanning process despite some initial challenges posed by its shiny metal surface. Through perseverance and technical expertise, we successfully captured a detailed scan and created an accurate 3D model of the ring in its flat layout. Jewelry making is a prime example of modern digital fabrication technology at work, enabling intricate designs to be brought to life with ease. To perfect our creation, we printed the ring on a cutting-edge Form 2 3D printer that utilizes castable resin, which provided us with a solid foundation for further refinement. Next, we employed traditional casting techniques to bring the design to its final form.
