Ring of the ancient

I created this ring completely on the fly without any preconceived notion, resulting in no discernible name or history, and I invited a friend to come up with a title and backstory. This is what he came up with: There was once a knight in the world who reached unprecedented heights of power. He won countless battles, bringing glory as if on the wings of valor and honor, and this ring was forged as a gift to him. I tweaked his story quite a bit, though. To add strength to the handle, I coated it with glue, which resulted in an uneven shape visible in the photo. In the center, I inserted a replaceable gemstone that can be adjusted to fit any sandpaper size.
