The Simple Ring is a unique creation that showcases hearts on its convex sides. While I was intrigued by hollow-heart rings, printing them proved challenging. The ring I present today is an achievable feat for any printer. Crafted from scratch in Tinkercad, you can explore the model here: https://tinkercad.com/things/4tWkLO4FWh6. To bring this creation to life, a Printrbot Simple Metal was used with PLA material at 0.1mm layer height. This careful calibration allowed the heart shapes to maintain their signature curves. However, reducing the layer height to 0.2mm resulted in triangle formations where hearts once were. The advantage of The Simple Ring lies in its design freedom, making it a practical choice for those interested in experimenting with intricate patterns without complex printing requirements.
