Ring Making Tools I created these tools to help me craft and shape a wooden ring by hand. First is an adjustable ring holder that securely fastens a ring in place for precise shaping with a power drill. After following an instructable on bent wooden rings (www.instructables.com/id/Bent-Wood-Rings), I found that making a perfect bevel/comfort fit edge was challenging, so attaching the ring to a power drill seemed like the ideal solution. To attach it properly, simply slide the two semi-circle guides into one end of the ring and tighten the tapered screw firmly. I also made a simple round mold for forming the basic ring blank by wrapping the wood around it securely. Additionally, I created a three-pronged tool for holding the ring from the outside for inside finishing and polishing. While it wasn't necessary in my case, securing the outer prongs with a tight rubber band provides a firm grip.
