Ring Lamp2

This Lamp consists out of 15 Rings. Together they have a Vase shape. When the light shines trough, it creates nice shadows on the walls This Lamp is around 265mm high & 200mm wide. I made it from PLA. That took around 42 hours & 420 gram of Filament. This Lamp is easy to make because it uses a standard Light Bulb. Any Bulb and Fitting that fits, can be used. In this case, I used a E27 LED Bulb and Fitting. Additional parts to make this lamp are: 2 M3x16mm Bolts & Nuts and a electric Cable with Wall Plug. “Ring Lamp Assembled” in the Photo Section , will give you a 3D look of the Lamp. To assemble the Lamp, I included an Image in the Photo Section (Ring Lamp2 assembly). In 13 Pictures you can see how the parts come together. 1 Tread the metal treaded part that comes from the Bulb Fitting, into “Fitting Tube.stl”. 2 Gather parts "lock ring1.stl", "cable bracket.stl",2 M3x16mm bolts & nuts. 3 Install the bolts & nuts as shown on this image. 4 Test fit the “Fitting Tube into the hole of “Lock ring1”. It should slide-in easy. 5 Push the Rings (except ring1) into 2 arms (and leave the third one out for now). This makes it a bit easier. 6 Temporary secure the 2 Arms in place with wire. Otherwise they will pop out when pushing in the third arm. 7 Mount “ring1.stl” and the third Arm. 8 Mount the remaining rings and Glue the last one (ring15.stl) onto the bottom of the 3 Arms. 9 Insert Lock Ring1 on the Top to lock the Arms and Ring1 in place. 10 Turn Lock ring2 to lock Lockring1 into place. In the image I turned it the wrong way :-( . 11 Put the electric cable through the hole in the Top and install the “Fitting Tube.stl” and the Bulb Fitting. 12 Install a Light Bulb. 13 Insert the “Fitting Tube” into the hole on the inside of “Lock Ring1”by pulling it up by the electric Cable. Lock the electric Cable. Then tight up the M3 Bolts to lock the Cable in place. Please see the Picture “Ring Lamp2 STL file names”. This gives you an idea how these parts are called and come together. If you have any questions, feel free to ask :-)
