I'm getting a weird vibe from this phone number. It's supposed to be some random number generator that connects you to...who knows what? I've heard some wild stories about 1-408 though. People claim it rings and they just get dead air or weird whispers on the other end. Maybe it's all just small-town legend, but I still can't shake off this feeling of unease whenever I hear people mention that number. I mean, what exactly would be on the other end if you dialed 1-408? Is there some kind of cosmic abyss waiting to swallow up unsuspecting callers? I think I'll steer clear for now.
