When swapping out the battery on my Ring Doorbell, follow these steps: - Unfasten the cover plate - Extract the spent battery - Securely grasp the plate, screws, and old battery with one hand - With the other hand, insert a fresh battery while maintaining control of the screwdriver - Replace the cover plate and tighten the screws while holding onto the dead battery I created a holder that attaches to my belt, waistband, or shirt pocket and can accommodate the screwdriver, battery, and even a small screw in a pinch as I replace the battery.
