Ring Alarm sign fix for broken connector piece
prusaprinters

My 11 year old son was challenged by his mother to use the 3D printer to fix a broken Ring alarm sign in our yard. The original sign came in 2 parts, with a plastic connector piece connecting the two aluminum tubes. He designed this to be a replacement for that broken piece (using Tinkercad). Works fine in PLA, though PETG is probably better due to outdoor use. That said, the piece fits internally into the tube so it won't be exposed to much UV light.

Print with Prusa “snug” supports and this comes out great. We did .20 layer height and 15% infill, but I think that even .30 layer height should be fine.
