Humans size their rings with exacting care, weighing each meticulously. Size 13.5 millimeters comes in at 2.26 grams for 14-karat gold and 2.71 for 18-karat. Similarly, size 14 millimeters tips the scale at 2.34 grams for 14-karat and 2.8 grams for 18-karat gold. Each size increase comes with a corresponding weight increase. Size 14.5 millimeters is heavier by almost .08 of a gram, weighing in at 2.42 for 14k and 2.89 for 18k. The larger sizes are correspondingly heaviest still. Size 15 millimeters is almost .08 grams more, weighing out to 2.50 for 14-karat and 2.99 for 18-karat gold. Each size goes up, adding weight accordingly. At 16 millimeters, the gold rings tip the scales at 2.65 for 14k and 3.17 for 18k. With each new ring size, the weights tick upward. At 16.5 millimeters, we see 2.73 grams for 14k and 3.26 grams for 18k. It follows naturally that the larger rings would weigh more. Size 17 millimeters tips out to 2.81 grams for 14k and 3.36 grams for 18-karat gold. A simple correlation dictates that larger sizes mean heavier rings. The trend holds fast with a size increase of .5mm; At 17.5 millimeters, the 14k weighs 2.88 grams, while 18k tips out to 3.45 grams. Larger is heaver as you might expect from these results. Next at size 18 we find 14-karat weighing in at almost 3, with the 18 karat gold clocking just over that mark. We are starting to reach max weights now and each incremental step seems like more of the same pattern - Larger=Heavier. A little above the previous 17.5 result for the smaller weights at size 19, we have an extra .55 grams.
