This is a real kidney from a patient. It has been sectioned to show off the cortex and medular parts in detail. The image was captured with Osirix software, then processed for 3D printing using Cinema 4D. This was my very first attempt at creating something like this. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Grabber Rafts: No rafts were used. Supports: No supports were needed. Resolution: The print resolution is set to 0.2mm. Infill: The infill percentage is 10%. Post-Printing After printing, I gave it a coat of white epoxy paint. Then, I added some extra details with luminescent orange, black, and brown ink spray. How I Designed This I used Osirix to capture the image of the kidney. Then, I processed it in Cinema 4D for 3D printing.
