RIGOL DS 1xxx serie Side noise killer

RIGOL oscilloscopes are great options, but they can be quite noisy. To minimize this noise, you'll need to disassemble the entire body of the device. Fortunately, a simple modification can make a big difference - replacing the original fan with one that blows air directly towards the back instead of the sides. This subtle tweak effectively reduces noise levels. To make this swap, you'll need some basic tools and about 10 minutes of your time. Once you've made the change, reassemble everything carefully to ensure it's secure. If you're looking for a more permanent solution, consider using some 3M Blenderm tape to hold things in place. This will give you an added layer of security without making it difficult to disassemble when needed. One advantage of this modification is that you can still use the sync cable if required. It's also worth noting that both PET-G and PLA work well for printing this part, so feel free to experiment with different materials. If you're feeling creative, I've included a FUSION 360 3D file in case you'd like to remix or modify it.
