RigidBot R1 Glass Holder V1

RigidBot R1 Glass Holder V1

thingiverse

The original RigidBot R1 3D printer does not come with glass installed. Due to its construction and bolt placement, it's challenging to mount a glass plate because it needs to be custom-cut and holders may collide with the motor. This Thing provides an easy solution for installing and removing the glass without risking damage to your RigidBot. This design is intended for standard borosilicate glass measuring 250x250mm. If you have a custom-cut glass of 250x270mm, you won't need the printed blocks; instead, attach aluminium bars directly to the glass using clips. Thanks to this Thing, you can use a glass with blue tape for cold prints and another glass treated with hair spray for hot bed ABS prints. The plastic blocks under the bars are calibrated for a 3mm glass thickness. If your glass is thicker or thinner, adjust the STL objects accordingly. REQUIRED MATERIALS: - All printed .STL objects - Borosilicate glass measuring 250x250mm - Four office clips measuring 25 x 10 mm - Fifty-four centimeters of L-shaped aluminium profile (20x10x2), commonly available and cut into two pieces, each 270 mm long - Four duct pieces measuring 30 mm - Four pieces of double-sided Scotch tape measuring 30 mm ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: Read the instruction PDF.
