Mount for attaching a phone or tablet to RigidBot easily with old phones functioning as webcams or time lapse recorders. Designed to fit most size phones and tablets, no restrictions on height or width apply. The mount features a lip allowing LED strips which also light up the RigidBot Community logo nicely but works perfectly fine otherwise. Made in Tinkercad. Tested on various phones - iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with a photo proof of success, Samsung Galaxy S5 and S4 as well as ZTE Blade III are supported. Tested on tablets too - including Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also showcased through a photo, Asus Eee Pad TF101 which weighs significantly heavy at 680g! Also mentioned that it is now capable to fit thicker devices by using v1.0 with an opening size of 12mm while earlier was only up to 10mm and larger slots can accommodate different tablet shapes including those with their lens situated very close to the bottom edge. Model arrives pre-rotated so can be printed straight away. Instructions for attaching: Start at inner frame side and push down from where the phone or device lays flat and snaps perfectly in place. This mount is also versatile, giving solid foundation but could add more infill to keep extra stability while printing ABS 25%, using brim and support it will hold firm with your desired printout of either ABS or PLA, a simple rubber band also helps securing any slip causing objects or by leaving some additional brims. Version v1.1 has brought upgrades - thicker device compatibility of up to 12mm size instead of previous v1.0 at only 10mm as well introducing slot reinforcements for increased durability while supporting devices of larger thickness without the extra burden that once caused weak structure and also allows a non-slip grip on smooth tablets by attaching with brim, adding to improved overall satisfaction!
