RigidBot Limit Switch Holder
thingiverse
I've adapted ReliaBuild3D's limit switch holder, designed to be mounted onto the X carriage so as to tap into the breakout board rather than running a long wire down the stepper. My modifications allow different extruder mounts to work (e.g., E3D V6) without adapting the design. ### Changes - I slimmed the motor side up to the edge of the M3 bolt heads. - Both countersinks for the M3 bolt heads are now U-shaped, preventing extra garbage slicer processing around the O and saving plastic as a bonus. ### Outstanding Issues - I may want to create a model that accepts heated inserts on the limit switch for ultimate reliability. However, I'll need to shim it away from the bottom due to the metal involved, as the extruder carriage bolts are through-hole. ### Recommendations - PLA might melt a bit; I printed this with PETG, which can withstand much hotter temperatures. You can technically print this with PLA/PHA too. ### Changelog **2019-03-10** - Initial Upload
