Update: Switched to a high-tech heated bed made of silicon, the new cable is significantly thicker and stronger, so I redesigned it from scratch. Link to the g+ thread discussing the silicon heated bed upgrade: https://plus.google.com/u/0/106396952736686264416/posts/gvsPgvvky5B?cfem=1 This custom cable modification kit is designed for use with heated bed replacement projects, including the following tutorial: http://rigidtalk.com/wiki/index.php?title=Heated_Bed_-_Replacing_the_connector This upgrade features a secure mounting point located on the forward left baring mount of the heated bed, which enables easy attachment and clipping of the cable. By attaching the cable here, users can eliminate the strain on the connector. The custom clip used in this design is approximately 5.2mm wide, allowing for efficient gripping of most standard cables. However, it's worth noting that users with thicker cables may need to adjust or resize their clips to ensure a secure fit without applying excessive force. Note: Please follow these step-by-step instructions: 1. Begin by printing the heated bed using high-quality ABS materials. 2. For optimal results, I recommend setting your print settings to 0.2mm layer height and 20% infill ratio. This combination seems to produce a robust and reliable structure that can withstand the rigors of continuous operation.
