Rigidbot E3D Overmount 360 Degree Part Cooling Fan
cults3d
This is a part cooling fan mount, bracket and shroud designed for Rigidbot 3D Printers using the E3D hotend mounted with a lossy mount. After using the Nautilus lossless mount for a while, I went back to a lossy mount which gave me much more clearance for safety and cooling. As a result I was able to design this 360 degree (actually about 320 degrees) part cooling fan shroud. It uses a 50X50X15mm blower fan. You can modify it to use a larger fan, but the amount of air this puts out is already overkill. The mounting piece uses the same through holes and M3 screws that attach the front linear bearing mount. For the rest of the parts, you will need to use either #8 SAE screws or M4 screws. It uses 4x1in (or 25mm) screws with nuts, and 1x2in (45-50mm) screw with nut. Recommended print settings with ABS: 0.1mm or 0.15mm layer height, 95% infill, no support (or base only support, it will be nearly impossible to remove supports inside the shroud). I also posted the original source 3DM (Rhinoceros 3D) file for anyone wanting to adapt it for other fans, or other e3d mounts.
