Rigid XEnds w/ Adjustable Endstop

Rigid XEnds w/ Adjustable Endstop

thingiverse

The X-Ends design improves upon previous models by addressing issues with screw slippage, PLA bushing removal, and Z rod flexing. This new design features one closed and one open (adjustable) X end. The closed end has a nut trap for precise tensioning screw installation, ensuring rigid distance between the X ends regardless of belt tension. The open end allows for easy X rod replacement or servicing of the X carriage/extruder. Additionally, the X-end-motor includes a platform for adjustable height landing pad endstop, simplifying Z endstop calibration. Other features include shaved motor mounts for use with 10 tooth machined T5 pullies and optional x endstop mounts for automotive/cherry microswitches. The model is parametric to accommodate LM8uu or LM8luu bearings, and can be found on GitHub.
