Rigid Universal Filament Spool Roller Stand (RUFSRS)
thingiverse
I've extensively researched various spool holder systems and none have met my expectations, so I took matters into my own hands to design one.\nThis Spool holder is completely versatile and astoundingly sturdy. All walls are a minimum of 5mm thick, 708 bearings are secured with M8x30mm bolts though M8x20mm should suffice.\nThe bearings boast an idler/caster that's a curved V shape, allowing the spool to self-align effortlessly. This also permits the base to stand independently (meaning you don't have to anchor it down)\nIf preference dictates bolting everything down, Each foot boasts 4 M3 mounting holes and the feet can be bonded to the frame for extra security.\nSupplements:\n4X M8x20mm Bolts (min length required)\n4x M8 Nuts\n4X 708 Bearings\nAdditives:\nSuper Glue\n16X M3 Nuts and bolts\nUse these if you prefer mounting it and making it very stable, Mine is freestanding and functions flawlessly. Feet can be bonded to the frame for added strength\nProteins:\n4X 708SpoolRollerFeet.stl\n2X 708SpoolRollerFrame.stl\n4X 708SpoolRollerSCIdler.stl (these cover the 708 Bearings)\nSingle / Triple / Quad / Quint / Sext Spool design in the works.\nPrint Settings:\nPrinter Brand:\n MakerGear\n \n Printer:\n P3Steel\n \n Rafts:\n No\n \n Supports:\n No\n \n Resolution:\n .16\n \n Infill:\n 30%\n \n Notes:\n Printed in ABS @ 70mm/s Should also be suitable for PLA.
