Order the Polyester tape from updated link 08/25/2014: http://www.laserbits.com/laser-supplies/masking-materials/sus-063-polyester-rigid-mask-medium-tack-6-in-25-yds.html for improved heated bed performance. It's preferred over Kapton due to its superior tear resistance, 6" width coverage in one strip, similar price per square inch, good adhesion with the miracle adhesion improver (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28787), and ease of removal compared to stock Kapton. Print small to medium ABS parts at 50C bed temp for reduced melt deformation. For better bonding, add a 0.25mm CAD base that peels off easily post-printing. To install, follow these steps: remove old tape; clean bed with acetone and lint-free cloth; use the installation jig (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:27518); clean new tape with acetone and lint-free cloth; apply a thin coat of miracle adhesion improver (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28787); print your design; carefully remove parts using a Cricut Spatula (http://www.amazon.com/Cricut-29-0099-Spatula-Tool/dp/B000NP1ESO), deburred for protection; enjoy prolonged printing with less retaping. The updated experience shows great love for the new tape, lasting at least three times longer than Kapton and a winning combo with Aquanet for small to medium parts.
