Rigid hot table bracket for HyperCube Evolution
thingiverse
The main goal is to achieve the most rigid mount for a hot bed on the table frame. Initially, I did not fully understand how to use the HyperCube size calculator. Consequently, I ordered a hot bed 310x310 with holes 240x240. However, in the end, I likely created the best way to secure a hot bed to the table frame, which can be implemented in my setup. Now I have a hot bed mounted on M4 screws with a standard thread pitch (0.7 mm). On the handle made 70 marks, corresponding to the movement of the table at 0.01 mm. There are 7 large and 7 small protrusions, making it easy to adjust the hot bed precisely. The design is based on several key principles: precise adjustment, no gaps or vibrations, ease of control, light weight, compact size, and elegance. To achieve these goals, I used a spring with an internal diameter of 7 mm, an outer diameter of 9 mm, and a length in its free state of 15mm. The spring is essential for absorbing any movement or vibration that may occur during the printing process. I also used M4x50 screws, DIN7991 or DIN965 washers, low nuts (DIN439), wide washers (DIN9021) to protect conductive tracks, and wing nuts (DIN315). These components are critical for securing the hot bed to the table frame while ensuring proper alignment and adjustment. The table frame on my printer is made from a 20x20 profile with beams of 415 mm and 255 mm. The brackets were designed to accommodate the hot bed's mounting holes, which are 240x240mm. While the distance between the holes along the X-axis is not crucial, the brackets can be moved left or right along the 415mm beams. In conclusion, my bracket for fixing the hot bed provides precise adjustment, ease of control, light weight, compact size, and elegance. It is a reliable and efficient solution for securing the hot bed to the table frame, ensuring optimal printing performance.
