This is a perfect combination of user JLTX's design and FF8Jake's design. The flatness and overall shape of JLTX's design are appealing, while FF8Jake's design excels in attaching the feet to the frame in a nice way. However, his feet are just too large, or rather, too high. To eliminate ringing/ghosting introduced by standard rubber feet, print four or six of these feet and place them under your MK3. This will significantly reduce vibrations and improve overall performance. For maximum frame rigidity, I recommend using six of these feet. Here's what you'll need: * 4-6 felt stickers, each about 1 inch (2.5cm) in diameter and 3 mm thick * 4-6 M5 bolts, 10mm long * 4-6 drop-in t-nuts (M5, slot width 8mm) You can find these components easily online or on eBay.de by searching for "hammermutter nut 8 M5." Alternatively, you can print your own t-nuts using a 3D printer. To assemble the feet: 1. Insert the drop-in t-nuts into the frame's slot. 2. Use two small screwdrivers to turn them 90 degrees. 3. Place the printed part in position and aim the screw at the t-nut. 4. Fasten the screw nearly fully and move the foot into its final position. 5. Now fasten the screw completely. 6. Stick a felt pad onto the bottom of the foot. You can pierce a hole in the middle of the felt pad before attaching it, but this is not necessary. Thanks to JLTX and FF8Jake for their great designs! History: * 2018/9/3: First version * 2018/9/4: Cleaned up the design source file and added chamfers for easier installation. * 2018/9/8: Successfully installed the feet on my MK3 - they're awesome! I used them with felt pads, but you can also try using rigid feet without felt. If so, use the new STL "Rigid_feet_for_MK3_higher_no_felt.stl" instead. * 2018/9/14: Uploaded the Fusion360 file, which allows you to adjust the height and screw type to your liking.
