Rigid coupling collet
thingiverse
Couples two shafts securely by using a double headed collet with threaded nuts tightening both ends. Pretty straightforward, printed at 0.2mm height in PETg, 0.4mm nozzle, 25% infill. A 3mm brim on the collet improved bed adhesion significantly. The picture shows an earlier version that is 5mm longer. It was shortened by 5 mm because it appears to be long enough for a firm grip. Utilizes the threads.scad library from http://dkprojects.net/openscad-threads/. Getting the threads started can be quite challenging, still looking at ways to improve this process further. The second picture is the uploaded version. It works well, but taking apart the collet resulted in its breakage. A better method for undoing each single nut is needed. Avoid overtightening without a matching shaft in place, or the collet segments may snap.
