People typically need 4-608 bearings for dual spool configurations. On eBay, one can usually find these bearings in a pack of ten for around $6.00. To construct a local hardware kit, two lengths of threaded rod, 8mm or 5/16 in diameter, are necessary. These should be about 12 inches or 304 millimeters long. One also needs four fender washers that fit on the 5/16 size bearings. Eight washers should suffice for this application, with two mounts to hold things together. Additional hardware items include sixteen 5/16 nuts, as well as five sixteenths of a turn's worth of washers (small and large sizes). One may print off instructions for these parts if needed. Installation generally involves placing a small washer between the fender washer and the bearing. This is typically done to help protect against damage caused by vibration and movement over time. Inside this system, one places a large washer on either side of a bearing that serves as the main anchor point inside a device like this dual spool machine
