Right-Left-Center Dice
thingiverse
I recently discovered the game of Right-Left-Center and decided to create my own custom dice. There are versions where taking a drink or skipping a turn is one of six options, including no action at all. Initially, I designed a single unit die with "R", "L", "C", "O", "O", and "O" molded in, but the backgrounds would need to be painted for clear visibility across the table. I then thought it would be even better to make a blank die and inserts that could be color-coded and arranged in any desired order, allowing players to customize the die for different games. I created a hollow version of the blank die, making it lighter or easier to load, although since every player uses the same die, there's no apparent reason to do so. I haven't tried it yet, but sealing loose 10mm ball bearings inside the hollow die might be an interesting variation. I've included STL files for the original fixed die, the blank die, the hollow blank die, and a number of insert panels including "R", "L", "C", "O", "X", "D", "1", "2", "3", "4", "5", "6", conventional dots, and blank. You can print the die and inserts in any colors that suit your needs, but using different colors for each panel will make the die readable from across the table. There are various adhesives you can use to glue the inserts to the die, but my personal favorite is Super Glue Fix-All Gel in a tube, which I get at Dollar Tree. The die measures 1.5 inches (38.1mm) but can be scaled in your slicer as desired. The smaller dice in the picture are scaled 80%, 50%, and 33%. I've included removable supports and pads on the hollow die to improve bed adhesion.
With this file you will be able to print Right-Left-Center Dice with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Right-Left-Center Dice.
