Right angle adapter for Intex air mattress pump
thingiverse
A right angle adapter for your Intex air mattress hand pump. But why would you want such a thing? Here's the situation. It's taken far longer than anyone can cope with, but you've finally matured somewhat beyond the nadir of your gross bachelor lifestyle. You've elevated yourself to such a lofty station in life that you now enjoy some of the finer things, like having new furniture. Never mind that the coffee table you keep your full trash bags on came from Ikea, it's still better than that sheet of plywood on top of the cheap filing cabinets that the previous tenant bought at Building 19 (back when Building 19 still existed). But despite all this personal growth, you still use an air mattress and it's running a little bit flat. The pump port is wedged flush against the headboard (you have furniture now, remember?) and can't quite be reached by the hose at the end of your ACME plunger detonator-style hand pump. To make matters worse, tonight you're being visited by a lovely young caller who thinks they can "change" you. Now, you could pull up the mattress, rip off the bedding, re-inflate the mattress, and put it all back together... but by that point you might as well wash your sheets and you're already busy snow shoveling out the dining nook. Surely there's a way to re-inflate your mattress before your hot date that only involves a level of effort consistent with your irregular use of the shower... Well now there is! Just print out one of these handy right angle adapters, wedge it down in there and get pumping! The night is saved; you have a firm "sleeping" surface, you still get to look like a "challenge" to your guest, and you'll even have time left over to scrape those wet newspapers out of the kitchen sink! † (Which is really weird, because you don't actually have a newspaper subscription...) Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: I've printed as coarse as 0.35mm with good results. Infill: Might as well go 100% Notes: The model is angled so that no supports should be necessary. Mine is printed in ABS, but I bet you PLA hippies will have no trouble. How I Designed This I beat my head against a keyboard while running OpenSCAD until a useful object emerged.
