Rigel Quickfinder base
thingiverse
This serves as the foundation for a Rigel Quickfinder telescope view finder base. If you're involved in astronomy, you're likely familiar with this component. As someone who purchases and sells scopes, it's easy to forget to remove the base prior to resale - at least, that's my personal experience. The design is carefully tailored to fit snugly around my Rigel. At present, I'm working on a revised model that will offer a slightly looser fit. If you have either an unusually large or unusually small aperture scope, you can modify the file to adjust the foot diameter accordingly. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 60% Notes: The design is meant to be printed upside down with no rafts and supports. Following completion, I found it necessary to carefully remove the supports from the recessed area surrounding the Rigel. I'm starting to question whether this indentation is actually required.
