Rifle Sling Swivel Install Tool Easy as can be, just print off the Base and sides - numbers one and two. Snap them together like you see in the pictures. Mark the spot where you want to install the swivel at the end with a dry erase marker. Place the jig on your rifle just like it shows in the pics. Close the legs snugly around the stock. Measure the depth by placing the swivel threads against the drill mark length, then add the jig height mark again. Put some tape around the drill bit specified by the swivel manufacturer at the total height. The drill should line up perfectly perpendicular and centered on the stock. If everything's aligned right, just follow the MFG instructions to drill to the depth of the threads plus the jig height - I like to add a little extra. Hint: before you start, give it a tiny drop of Gorilla Wood Glue.
