I need an extruder with the following features:\r\n- thermal decoupling motor / drive wheel\r\n- easy to print\r\n- Bowden\r\n- compatible with all materials\r\n- precise\r\n- integrated filament cleaning system\r\n- simple filament change mechanism\r\n- I prefer all materials to be readily available in my workshop\r\n\r\nSince I couldn't find one on Thingiverse, I designed this extruder myself. I equipped the drive shaft with a MK drive wheel, choosing the larger 12mm version because it allows more teeth to grip the filament (even though some online sources suggest otherwise).\r\n\r\nFor the belt, I chose a GT2 with a 3:1 ratio. This setup provides better precision and separates the heat from the drive wheel and motor.\r\n\r\nI printed my prototype with PLA without support. I've tested it with various materials:\r\n- PLA\r\n- ABS\r\n- PETG\r\n- Ninaflex\r\n- Igludur (a specialized lubricating material)\r\n\r\nThe Bowden tube connects directly to the drive wheel. In CAD, it was easier to design than in reality.\r\n\r\nInstead of a push-fit connection, I added a thread to the hose and secured it with nuts. Remember to drill a hole again afterward. The Bowden narrows at this point, making it difficult for the filament to pass through.\r\n\r\nChanging the filament is simple: just press the lever, and you can easily insert or remove the filament.\r\n\r\nHere's the list of materials I used:\r\n- GT2 wheel 60Z\r\n- GT2 wheel 20Z\r\n- GT2 belt 156mm long\r\n- M4 screws for the body\r\n- M3 screws for hose attachment\r\n- MK drive wheel with an 11mm diameter tooth base
