Ridgid toolbox 1:10 scale
thingiverse
This is a Ridgid Toolbox battery compartment that I designed specifically for my 1:10 scale crawler. It was made to fit snugly in the bed of my truck, serving as a reliable battery compartment. A hole in the underside allows wires to pass through with ease. The compartment also features four holes for mounting bolts, providing secure attachment to the bed. I used 6mm x 3mm magnets in the final construction, which offer a pull force of around 1.5 pounds, more than enough to keep the lid securely closed. The runners on the bottom are designed to lift it off the bed slightly and can be removed if desired. To assemble the handles, they must be printed as separate parts and then glued into place after cleaning up any excess material. I've uploaded individual files for each component, catering to smaller printers, as well as a single file containing everything on one plate for larger printers. ***Update*** My friend requested a slimmed-down version of this compartment, designed to take up less bed space and provide a tighter fit around a 35mm wide battery. I successfully slimmed it down! I've uploaded separate files for the slender version and another set of files for printers with larger beds. Let me know what you think!
