# What is this? This tapered slip fit adapter enables you to connect the flexible hose from a Rigid Shop Vac into 2 inch Schedule 40 PVC Pipe with ease. # Why would I want one of these? The Shop Vac Brand pipes and extensions are quite expensive, whereas 2" PVC is relatively affordable. This type of PVC has a slightly smaller inner diameter than the shop vac pipe, so there's some compromise involved. I'm planning to use this adapter with a long upside-down J-shaped pipe to clean my gutters, and it could also be used to help connect together a dust collection system. # Possible improvements * Add screw holes for semi-permanent mounting * Create another one for larger pipe sizes # Printing and Testing I printed mine on a Monoprice Select Mini in PLA with a 0.306 (fast) layer height. It fit my hose and pipe perfectly, and didn't feel flimsy at all. I tested it briefly by vacuuming aluminum chips (and a screwdriver, chuck key, and an allen wrench - whoops!) out of my CNC mill, and it worked flawlessly.
