Ridgid Planer Exhaust and hose adapter for Model R4331
thingiverse
I added to the original design by user drc7af. I had two goals in mind with this design: 1. be able to point the exhaust at a different angle 2. be able to fit a vacuum hose with a 2-1/4" outer diameter Parts list: * Part 1 - the original part, unmodified. * Part 2 - base tube * Part 3 - elbow tube * Part 4 - vacuum connection tube The parts connect in numerical order, e.g. part 1 to part 2, part 2 to part 3, and part 3 to part 4. All the parts move freely and the elbow can be directed in direction you like. The parts are meant to be glued together with CA/superglue once you have them in the orientation you like. If you you don't want to hook up a vacuum, you can always point the elbow downward to shoot the sawdust into a trashcan. I printed mine with transparent PETG filament to make clogs more visible, but that's not necessary. I haven't noticed any clogs yet as this planer seems to have a powerful discharge. Only parts 3 and 4 need supports. If you use Cura for a slicer, try to print support placement "Everywhere" and use the "Tree" support structure. I have included the original model for part 1 and the Fusion 360 model I created for parts 2, 3 and 4.
